High-Level Secure Architecture Review

High-Level Secure Architecture Review · Systems & networks

See the whole design. Fix the weak joints.

We step back from individual settings and assess how your systems, networks and controls fit together, from access control and encryption to recovery and incident response, then show where the design leaves you exposed.

Why it matters

Strong controls fail inside a weak design.

Gaps live between systems

The riskiest weaknesses often sit where systems meet: trust between zones, shared accounts, unencrypted links. A design view finds them.

Measured against best practice

We assess your controls and protocols against industry standards and best practice for data protection and confidentiality.

Priorities your board accepts

An executive summary turns technical findings into ranked risks, so leaders can fund the fixes that matter most first.

How we deliver

Five phases. A clear view of your design.

On-site visits and interviews sit at the heart of the assessment, because diagrams rarely tell the whole story of how systems really connect.

Preparation

We define the scope, gather architecture diagrams, policies and existing documents, and form a joint review team with your staff.

Assessment

We examine the security controls, protocols and procedures in place, through on-site visits and interviews with key personnel.

Analysis

Findings are analysed to expose vulnerabilities in the design and areas where controls are missing, weak or duplicated.

Recommendations

We build recommendations to close each weakness, including secure architecture design practices suited to your environment.

Reporting

A full report sets out findings and recommended actions, with an executive summary for leadership and detail for engineers.

What you receive

The areas we review, a security risk assessment and what you receive.

Expected outcomes: a clear view of design-level risk, prioritised improvements leadership can fund, and a stronger base for detailed configuration work.

FAQ

Architecture reviews, made clear.

What CISOs and IT directors ask before commissioning an architecture review.

How is this different from a configuration review?

An architecture review looks at the design: how zones, systems and controls fit together. A configuration review checks the individual settings on each system. Many organisations start with the design and follow with configuration.

What can be in scope?

You decide. Scope can be one critical system, a network segment or the whole organisation. Typical areas are access control, data encryption, network security, disaster recovery and incident response.

What do you need from our staff, and when?

We need documents and diagrams at the start, then interviews with key personnel and on-site visits during the assessment. We schedule these around your operations to keep the load on your team light.

Do you actively test our systems?

No. This is a review of design, controls and procedures through documents, interviews and site visits. If you also want active testing, infrastructure penetration testing or red teaming can follow.

How are the results presented?

As an executive summary for leadership, a security risk assessment report that prioritises risks, and recommendations that include secure architecture design practices for your engineers.
