Third-Party Risk Management

Third-Party Risk Management · Vendor lifecycle

Your suppliers hold your keys. Know which ones to trust.

Payroll, cloud, SOC services, development: much of your business now runs through suppliers. We build the programme that tiers each one by risk, assesses its controls, writes security into contracts and closes access when work ends.

Why it matters

Their weakness becomes your breach.

Remember Target and SolarWinds

Both breaches began with a trusted third party. A tiered supplier list shows who reaches your data and systems, and how deeply.

Effort matched to risk

Risk tiers decide how closely each supplier is assessed, so critical vendors get scrutiny and low-risk ones are not buried in questionnaires.

Expected by major frameworks

NIST CSF, ISO 27001, PCI-DSS, GDPR and the Saudi PDPL all expect you to manage supplier risk. One programme helps you meet them together.

How we deliver

Build the programme. Then run the lifecycle.

We set up the programme pillars first, then define the supplier lifecycle and prove it on a sample of the vendors you already use.

Governance & oversight

Management expectations for third-party risk, a governance structure, a committee charter and clear roles for each decision.

Policies & standards

A TPRM policy and supporting standards that reflect the regulations you answer to, from PCI-DSS to the Saudi PDPL.

Risk tiers & methodology

Vendor risk tier criteria and an assessment methodology that sets how deeply each supplier is examined.

Lifecycle processes

Identification, classification, assessment, onboarding, monitoring and termination, each defined with owners and clear steps.

Technology assessment

We review the TPRM tools you already use and recommend how they can better support the new processes.

Metrics & reporting

Performance metrics and reports tailored to each audience, from the board down to the procurement team.

Existing vendor review

We assess a set of current suppliers through shared questionnaires, log the issues found and agree a risk response for each.

What you receive

Govern, run the lifecycle, then measure and report.

Expected outcomes: a risk-tiered view of your suppliers, security terms built into contracts, and documented supplier oversight for auditors.

One supplier risk register in ExceedGRC.

Supplier questionnaires tend to live in inboxes and spreadsheets. ExceedGRC, built by our own consultants, puts every vendor risk in one register with live scoring and a graphical view, tracks each mitigation to its owner and reports to management in an audit-ready format.

FAQ

Third-party risk, clearly answered.

What procurement, risk and security teams ask before building a TPRM programme.

We have hundreds of suppliers. Do you assess all of them?

No. We first identify your suppliers and tier them by risk. Assessment depth follows the tier, so critical vendors get detailed review and low-risk ones a lighter check. During the project we assess a set of existing vendors.

Which suppliers count as third parties?

Any provider that handles your data or runs functions for you: IT infrastructure, SOC services, payroll, application development, data analytics, cloud and more. Their own suppliers, your fourth parties, are considered at onboarding.

How does TPRM change our supplier contracts?

Onboarding gathers security information about the supplier and its own suppliers, then builds security and communication terms into the contract, so controls keep working for the life of the relationship.

What happens when a supplier relationship ends?

Termination is a defined step. Confidentiality obligations continue, your data and assets are returned or destroyed, and the supplier's access to your systems and networks is removed.

Which regulations does the programme support?

It is designed around NIST CSF, ISO 27001 and PCI-DSS, plus privacy rules such as GDPR and the Saudi PDPL, all of which expect you to assess and treat risk introduced by third parties.

Take control of supplier risk

List your critical suppliers. We'll show where the risk sits.

Tell us how many suppliers you rely on and what they can access, and a TPRM consultant will reply with a programme proposal.
