Proactive Compromise Assessment

Proactive Compromise Assessment · No incident needed

Already breached? Find out on your own terms.

Before anything has gone wrong, we examine your network and systems for the traces attackers leave behind, then give you an evidence-based answer on whether intruders are present or your security controls held.

Before an incident

A planned check, not a firefight

Clear verdict

Compromised, or controls held

6 stages

From scoping to final report

Why check now

No alarms doesn't mean no intruders. Get the evidence.

Evidence, not assumptions

Security tools report what they see. A compromise assessment checks what they may have missed and tells you plainly whether your controls held.

Catch dormant intrusions

Attackers can sit quietly inside a network long before they act. Finding their traces early gives you the chance to remove them before they cause real harm.

Assurance you can show

A documented clean result reassures your board, regulators and partners, while a positive finding gives you time to act before attackers do.

How we assess

Six stages. One evidence-based verdict.

The assessment follows our compromise assessment methodology, run as a planned health check rather than an emergency call-out.

Preparation

We agree scope, objectives and the assets to examine, and gather what we need to plan a calm, low-disruption review.

Data collection

We gather evidence from network logs, system configurations, security tools and other relevant sources across the estate.

Analysis

Specialised tools and techniques search the data for signs of compromise such as unauthorised access or data exfiltration.

Assessment

Suspicious findings are examined in depth to judge whether your controls stopped the attempt or an attacker got through.

Recommendations

We advise on strengthening controls and closing weaknesses, whether or not an active compromise was found.

Reporting

A clear report states the verdict, the evidence behind it and the next steps, for both technical and executive readers.

Assessment scope

What we examine, what we establish and what you receive.

Expected outcomes: an evidence-based view of whether you are compromised, earlier discovery of dormant intrusions, and stronger controls going forward.

FAQ

Proactive assessment, the honest answers.

What leadership teams ask before checking for a compromise nobody has reported.

We have no sign of a breach. Why assess now?

That is exactly when a proactive assessment is most useful. It tests whether silence means your controls worked, or that an intruder simply has not been noticed yet.

How is this different from a reactive assessment?

A reactive assessment investigates an incident that has already happened. This proactive service is a planned check carried out with no incident suspected, to confirm whether you are clean.

How much disruption should we expect?

It is planned in advance and relies mainly on collecting and analysing existing logs, configurations and security data, so any disruption is minimal and agreed with your team.

What happens if you do find a compromise?

We tell you promptly with the supporting evidence and advise on containment and remediation. Our incident response team can step in if you need hands-on help.

What does the final report tell us?

You receive an executive summary with the verdict and a detailed technical report of findings and evidence, plus prioritised recommendations to strengthen your controls.
